Gilad Shoham, Founder and CEO

An award-winning industrial designer with eight years of consumer and medical device design experience, Gilad is the inventor and designer of gelFAST and the company's Chief Executive Officer. After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, Gilad's professional tenure included product design at Umbra, medical device design at XLTek, and product design at the Centre for Studies in Aging -- a research laboratory at the Sunnybrook & Women's College Health Science Center. gelFAST has won the Gold medal at the prestigious National Post Design Exchange Awards and was a featured exhibit at the Canada Pavilion of the 2005 World's Fair in Aichi, Japan.

Dan Shoham, Business Strategy

A scientist and business executive with seventeen years of professional experience, Dan brings the company business, patenting, and scientific expertise. Dan holds a dual MBA from Columbia University and the London Business School and a PhD from Temple University. His experience includes eight years as a Staff Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Lincoln Laboratory, scientific and business roles at HNC Software, and, currently, the CEO of Oscore Inc., a California-based provider of statistical models.

Dr. Shmuel Shoham, Medical Expert

A respected infectious disease specialist with thirteen years of professional experience, Shmuel brings the company his direct expertise in infectious disease transmission, hospital sanitation protocols, and process experience. Shmuel earned his MD at the Jefferson Medical School and is currently practicing, teaching, and researching at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC. He is a frequent guest expert on local and national mass media outlets, including National Public Radio and USA Today, on a range of infectious disease and prevention topics. Shmuel has published numerous studies on disease propagation in leading peer-reviewed journals and presented in national medical conferences.
